I downloaded the source and launched it in windows 8 with vs 2012 premium.
And for some reason it doesn't compile.
Error 1 Could not find SDK "Bing.Maps.JavaScript, Version=1.0". C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Microsoft.Common.targets 1701 5 codeSHOW

not found I seen another person had the same prolem and you replied should be working. I am downloading the zip file have no clue how to to do it the other way.

Comments: I'm getting the same issue but only for Payload file C:\Users..........\codeSHOW.jspro.user'does not exist I've resolved by right click "property" on the project. Visual studio generate this file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <Project ToolsVersion="4.0" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/developer/msbuild/2003"> <PropertyGroup /> </Project> Now it build. sorry for bad english :)

I get an error from Telerik that "[the installer is old]" and there is a prompt to install a new one from their site. After some digging I found the latest *trial* version, bit it returns the same error. Is this a huge deal or can I ignore it for a while? I'm assuming these tools are only used for a couple specific examples.

Comments: I'm getting the same issue. I just checked the .gitignore file and it is the latest version that has Package.StoreAssociation.xml at the bottom. If I do a full clean and rebuild, I get a further two errors for codeSHOW.Tests Payload file C:\Users\..........\codeSHOW.jspro.user'does not exist Payload file C:\Users\...........\Package.StoreAssociation.xml'does not exist If I remove the reference to Package.StoreAssociation.xml and the codeSHOW.Tests project, it then builds and runs fine.

Comments: You may make sure you have the latest version of .gitignore. The problem is that I ignored that store association file and my attempt to fix it was to remove the ignore. Let me know if that doesn't fix it.

Thanks for the great MSVirtualAcademy JumpStart. It seems the RadControls in the Packages folder is out of date. Attached image shows the screen from trying to install that SDK.

I navigated through there and found the RadControlsForWindows8Setup_2013_1_219 and it gave me the same error screen.

I then ran all my windows updates (it's a previously rarely used VM) and it still had installer errors.

Right now I'm running updates on VS2012 Ultimate. Then we'll try again.

@codefoster - Based on your input, I realized that I was looking for the bin folder in the VS2012's solution explorer rather than in the windows explorer and hence couldn't find it. Now, I was able to find it and install the requisite SDK's. Appreciate your fast response and help. Thanks!

@codenv, after you download all of the source code and unzip it, you'll see a folder called "bin" at the root of the download. In there are all of the installers for the various SDKs that are required for codeSHOW. You can install all of them. codeSHOW, for instance, has a Bing Maps demo and it needs the Bing Maps SDK to be installed. You can see what you haven't installed by looking in the References folder in your open solution. The ones with a little yellow warning sign on them are not installed. Write back if you still have trouble.
